# OneDrive

> How to connect OneDrive to Pike to attach files and folders to projects, tasks, and customers.

The OneDrive integration links OneDrive files and folders to Pike projects, tasks, and customers. Files stay in OneDrive, with OneDrive sharing and permissions. Pike keeps the link next to the work.

## Turn on OneDrive

1. Go to **Workspace settings** → **Integrations** → **OneDrive**.
2. Click **Add integration** and sign in with a Microsoft account.

Only workspace admins can turn OneDrive on or off. If you also use [Microsoft Teams](https://usepike.com/docs/integrations/microsoft-teams.md) or [Outlook](https://usepike.com/docs/integrations/outlook.md), all of them use the same tenant connection.

## Connect your account

Go to **Settings** → **Connections** and connect your Microsoft account. Each member connects their own account, so Pike opens only files that member can open in OneDrive.

## Attach files and folders

On a project, task, or customer, open **Files** and click **Add** → **OneDrive**. The OneDrive picker opens. Pick one or more files or folders.

* Pike shows the name, type, owner, last modified date, and a thumbnail where OneDrive has one.
* Click an attachment to open it in OneDrive.
* Paste a OneDrive link into a task description or comment, and Pike shows it as a preview card.

## Disconnect

Turning OneDrive off removes the picker. Links already attached stay and open in OneDrive for anyone with access there. Members can disconnect their own account under **Settings** → **Connections**.

## Permissions

OneDrive decides who can open a file. Pike shows an attachment to members who can see the project, task, or customer, and OneDrive decides whether they can open it. Private projects stay private.

## Limits

* Pike links to files. It does not copy or store them.
* Project folders are not created in OneDrive, since OneDrive belongs to one person. Use [SharePoint](https://usepike.com/docs/integrations/sharepoint.md) for shared project folders.
