**Send hours to payroll** is off by default. When on, closing a pay period adds approved hours to each hourly worker’s unprocessed check.

Members request time off in Pike. Paid time off for hourly workers goes to Paychex Flex on the pay component you map.

## Set up and use Paychex Flex

### Connect

1. Go to **Workspace settings → Integrations → Paychex Flex**, click **Add integration**, and enter your company ID.
2. Once your Paychex Flex admin approves access, map pay components to Pike pay lines and time off types.
3. Click **Import data**, then turn on **Send hours to payroll**.

### How to use it in your business

- **Pay from the hours you bill.** Hourly checks use approved Pike timesheets, so pay and invoices come from the same numbers.
- **Cut the payroll entry.** Hours post to the unprocessed check, so nobody types timesheet totals into Paychex Flex.

### Limits

- Salaried workers’ hours are not sent.
- Hours go only to an unprocessed pay period.
- Pike does not run payroll or calculate tax.
