Pike integrates with BambooHR: employees sync into Pike members with job title, department, and employment status, and approved time off becomes Pike time off every hour. Capacity, allocations, and utilization use the same people data as HR.

Approved time off creates Pike time off of the mapped type (defaults: vacation to Vacation, sick to Sick, parental to Parental, others to Vacation). That removes those hours from capacity, so allocations and utilization stay correct. Pending or rejected requests do not sync.
Invite new employees is optional. When on, Pike sends an invite when a new employee appears in BambooHR, with the default role the admin chooses.
Sync compensation to cost profiles is off by default, and only admins and finance users can turn it on. When on, salary and pay period set the member’s cost profile, with the effective date from the HR system.
How to connect BambooHR
- 1.Go to Workspace settings → Integrations → BambooHR and click Add integration.
- 2.Enter your BambooHR subdomain and an API key.
- 3.Map time off types, choose whether to invite new employees, then click Import data.

How agencies use Pike with BambooHR
- Plan around real availability. Approved vacation comes off capacity within the hour, so resource managers stop booking people who are out.
- Onboard without double entry. New hires get a Pike invite with the right role, team, and position, so admins skip manual setup.
- Keep cost rates current. With compensation sync on, salary changes update cost profiles from their effective date, so project margin uses current cost.
Limits to know before you connect
- Pike does not write to BambooHR.
- Pending or rejected time off requests do not sync.
- Compensation sync is off until an admin or finance user turns it on.
