Move from Streamtime to Pike

Export Streamtime list views as CSV, upload them to Pike templates, and connect the Xero or QuickBooks ledger your invoices went to. Budget five to six weeks.

Available now

Streamtime exports every list view with the Export CSV button, as jobs.csv, time.csv, expenses.csv, quotes.csv, invoices.csv and companies.csv, so you export once per list and upload each file to the matching Pike template.

  1. 1Check you can see Export CSV at the bottom left of the Jobs list. If not, the account subscriber turns on export under Settings → Team Members → your profile → Permissions. Exporting finances needs its own permission.
  2. 2On the Jobs list, add Archived to the Job Status filter, then click Export CSV and choose all columns. Export Contacts → Companies, Contacts and the Items list view the same way. Streamtime added the Items tab in its late September 2026 release.
  3. 3Open Jobs → Time, clear the default filters that hide archived jobs and non-billable time, set the date range, and export all columns. Every active filter applies to the file.
  4. 4Upload customers, contacts, projects, phases, members, tasks, then time entries under Workspace settings → Integrations → CSV, using the Streamtime column mapping.

The lightning bolt icon opens the activity drawer, which shows Got it for a finished export and Error for a failed one. Streamtime caps PDF exports of quotes, invoices and Job Cost Reports at 10 per export, so keep client documents to the ones finance needs.

Available now

Streamtime copies invoices, purchase orders and expenses to Xero or QuickBooks Online, so your invoice history already exists in the ledger. Connect the same ledger to Pike.

  1. 1Connect Xero or QuickBooks under Workspace settings → Integrations and run Import data before you upload any Streamtime CSV. Pike imports customers and invoice history from the ledger.
  2. 2If you connected separate Xero organisations to different Streamtime branches, connect each one to Pike, so invoices from every branch come in.
  3. 3At cutover, disconnect the accounting tile under Settings → Integrations in Streamtime, so only Pike sends invoices from Monday.

If you invoice through MYOB, Pike has no MYOB connection. Keep invoices.csv from Streamtime as your record of past invoices.

What each Streamtime record becomes in Pike

Column one uses Streamtime’s labels. Streamtime prices work on items inside a job, so items become Pike tasks and the job becomes the Pike project. Pike matches people on each team member’s login email.

Streamtime sets bill rates on rate cards, by role, item and expense, with a standard rate card and others linked to companies. An item uses its own sell rate (Price by Item Rate), each team member’s rate (Price by Person/Role), or a fixed price. Set the Pike project `hourlyRate` from the rate card linked to the job’s company.

Jobs where every item uses Fixed Price map to `fixedFee`, priced-by-rate jobs to `timeAndMaterials`, and non-billable jobs to `nonBillable`. Planned hours and total planned sell fill `budgetHours` and `budgetAmount`.

Streamtime stores one cost rate per team member, which drives its profit margins. Set each Pike cost profile from that rate before the pilot.

    Freeze scope and export

The CSV route copies a snapshot. Export every list the same day, with filters set to include archived jobs.

    • Pick a cutover Friday after the month’s invoices go from Streamtime to Xero or QuickBooks.
    • Export jobs.csv, time.csv, the Items list, expenses.csv, quotes.csv, invoices.csv and companies.csv with all columns, and copy the team member list and rate cards into a sheet.
    • Keep the raw files unchanged in one folder. The Streamtime free plan has a limit of 50 archived jobs, so this folder is your archive for the rest.

Clean the CSV files. Nobody edits Streamtime after export day.

    • Give every company a customer number and every job a project number, and use the same numbers on item and time rows.
    • Add planned hours and planned sell up per job, and choose a billing type from each job’s item pricing.
    • Fill `email` on every time row from the team sheet. Pike matches time rows to members by email.

    • Create teams from your Streamtime branches and labels, and positions from Streamtime roles. Invite admins and leads only.
    • Connect Xero or QuickBooks and run Import data.
    • Set a cost profile for each member from their Streamtime cost rate.

    Upload in dependency order

Customers, contacts, projects and phases, then members, items as tasks, time and expenses. Pike reports a row it cannot match with its line number.

    • Download each Pike template first, then upload under Workspace settings → Integrations → CSV. Re-upload fixed rows: Pike matches on the key and updates the record.
    • Rebuild fixed price retainers, and jobs grouped with Groups, as Pike retainers with period, hours and fee.

One team in Pike, the rest in Streamtime

CSV has no ongoing sync, so the pilot team moves fully to Pike while everyone else logs time in Streamtime.

    • The pilot team logs time in Pike only. Everyone else logs time against items in Streamtime.
    • Finance approves pilot time in Time admin and sends one invoice from Pike in place of a Streamtime invoice.
    • Compare the pilot job’s margin with Streamtime’s planned and projected profit margin. A gap means a rate or cost profile needs a fix in Pike.

Questions

Moving from Streamtime: common questions

Why is time missing from our time.csv?

Every active filter applies to the export, and the Time list can hide archived jobs, non-billable time, personal time and scheduled time by default. Clear those defaults and export again.

Why don’t we see the Export CSV button?

Exporting needs permission to view and edit jobs and to export finances. The account subscriber turns it on under Settings → Team Members → your profile → Permissions.

How do Streamtime items come into Pike?

Each item becomes a task on its project, with its phase. Planned hours and sell per item add up to the project budget, and logged time links to the task through `taskTitle`.

Can Pike import our Streamtime invoices?

Not through CSV. Streamtime copies invoices to Xero or QuickBooks Online, so connect that ledger to Pike and Pike imports invoice history from it.

What happens to our Streamtime data when we cancel?

The account moves to the free plan at the end of the billing cycle, with 5 active jobs and up to 50 archived jobs. Ask Streamtime support in your cancellation message if you want the account deleted.

Support through the move and after it

Migration support comes with every plan: we map your exports, run the imports with you and check the counts before cutover. After go-live, hypercare until the first month-end closes in Pike. Then we hand over to your admins and stay close for as long as you use Pike. Email hello@usepike.com with your source tool and we will say which route fits.
