Migration guide
Connect Clockify with an API key, run Import data, and keep syncing while teams move one at a time. Budget five weeks from connection to cutover, then one month-end in Pike.
Available now
Pike reads Clockify through its API, so clients, projects, tasks, users and time entries import with their links intact.
Pike never writes to Clockify, and hourly rates and project estimates do not import. A client or project removed in Clockify shows as Removed in Clockify in Pike, with its history intact.
Available now
Use CSV when nobody can generate an API key for the workspace, or when you bring over only part of your history.
On the Free plan, Clockify exports PDF only and limits each report to 31 days, so the CSV route needs at least one month on Basic.

Column one uses Clockify's own labels. Pike matches people on the email of each Clockify user.

You set in Pike: Invoice history imports from your connected accounting system. New invoices go out from Pike from cutover.
Clockify picks the most specific billable rate in this order: project member rate, task rate, project rate, member rate, workspace rate. A zero rate at a specific level overrides a higher one. Pike imports none of them, so set one hourly rate per project in Pike.
Clockify cost rates feed its cost and profit columns. Enter them in Pike as cost profiles before the pilot, so the Finance tab shows margin on the first imported month.
A project estimate in Clockify is a time estimate (Basic and up) or a project budget (Pro and Enterprise), set manually or per task, and it can reset every week, month or year. Enter each one as a Pike budget, and set up projects that reset as retainers.
The plan
The same steps as the main migration guide, with this tool's screens and settings.
Week 1
Migration owner, finance
Week 1 · Migration owner, finance
On Native sync Pike reads Clockify directly. The export in week one is your archive copy.
Done when: Archive exports in one folder, a cutover Friday on the calendar, and a Clockify admin named to generate the API key.
Week 1 to 2
Operations lead
Week 1 to 2 · Operations lead
Pike imports what Clockify stores, so merge clients and fix emails inside Clockify before you click Import data.
Done when: No duplicate clients. Every active project has a client and a project manager.
Week 2
Workspace admin
Week 2 · Workspace admin
Admins set up rates and cost profiles in Pike first, because Clockify rates do not import.
Done when: Admins and leads are in Pike. Finance sees the same customer list as the ledger.
Week 2 to 3
Workspace admin
Week 2 to 3 · Workspace admin
One click imports clients, projects, tasks, users and time in dependency order.
Done when: Client, project, user and last-month hour counts match Clockify. Every active project has a rate.
Week 3 to 4
Delivery lead, finance
Week 3 to 4 · Delivery lead, finance
Turn on Keep syncing and move one team with a live client project and an invoice due.
Done when: One invoice sent from Pike. Pilot hours in Pike match the same week in Clockify.
Week 4 to 5
Migration owner
Week 4 to 5 · Migration owner
Close Clockify on Friday evening. Deactivate users in place of a read-only mode: Clockify ends their access and saves their data.
Done when: Time admin shows every active member by Monday afternoon. Clockify shows no time after Friday.
Week 5 to 8
Finance
Week 5 to 8 · Finance
Done when finance closes a month without opening Clockify.
Done when: Month closed in Pike. Clockify exports saved with two owners. Clockify subscription cancelled.

Questions
Pike’s Clockify integration imports clients, projects, tasks, users and time entries, and no rates or estimates. Set the hourly rate and budget on each project in Pike, using the rates in your Clockify Detailed report export.
Clockify locks approved entries, even for admins, and marks them with a green check in the Detailed report. Pike imports the entries with their billable flag, so approve any open weeks in Time admin after the import.
Clockify still lists time on archived projects in reports, under the Archived project filter. Check that the imported project count in Pike matches active plus archived projects in Clockify, and retry anything under Sync issues.
Clockify invoices do not import. Connect QuickBooks to Pike so invoice history imports from the ledger, then send new invoices from Pike from cutover.
Yes. Once the paid cycle ends Clockify switches the workspace to Free and stores the data. Free exports PDF only and caps each report at 31 days, so export CSV before you cancel.
